About Me

My Name is John P. Anthony.  I'm known by Johnny P., by friends and colleagues alike.  I've been a musician my entire life.  I started playing piano at 8yrs, alto saxophone at 10, guitar at 12 and electric bass at 15.  I fell in love with the bass.  I love the big fat sound it makes, and I love the role it plays in an ensemble.  So, I decided to make bass my principal focus.   At 19yrs, I started my semi-professional career, and at 22yrs, my full-time career.  At 25yrs, I moved from being a back-up vocalist, to being a lead vocalist.  Since then, I've spent most of my time on stage playing bass and singing.
